Yellow Tang Software
is a privately held company founded with the belief that SCUBA
diving operations could be more efficient with the use of technology.
We believe in "SCUBA at your Fingertips":
 |
That divers should spend more time in the water than in
the booking office |
 |
That divers should have the choice to plan and schedule
diving vacations from the convenience of their homes,
ahead of time |
 |
That dive operators should spend more time with divers
than with paperwork |
 |
That pre and post dive information, including dive logs
and pictures, should be readily accesible to a diver anywhere
in the world |
 |
That dive operators and divers should not be left behind
in the information tidal wave |
Yellow Tang Software brings Internet technology to the SCUBA
community, making the SCUBA scheduling and booking process
more convenient and efficient

About the Founder
Yellow Tang Software was founded by Eddy Wong, a seasoned software
architect with more than a decade of high tech experience. YTS
was founded as a realization that SCUBA divers did not have
the tools to make a SCUBA reservation with the same ease and
convenience as an airline ticket or a hotel room reservation.
Previously, Eddy spent five years of his career as a Chief Architect
of a team that developed pioneering intelligent agent and personalization
technologies at Open Sesame. He led the spin-off of Open Sesame
which was later acquired by Allaire Corp. Afterwards, he held
management and engineering positions in the Spectra and Coldfusion
MX product lines at Allaire, which later merged with Macromedia.
Earlier, he developed Internet, customer service, personalization
and speech recognition applications for Fortune 500 companies
like AT&T and Philips Dictation Systems while working for
Cambridge Technology Partners. Eddy earned an MS in Computer
Science from Brown University and graduated with a BA in Computer
Science and Mathematics from Ohio Wesleyan University with Honors,
Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Eddy is an avid AOW diver and has been grabbing every opportunity
to be under water since 1989. His recent scuba trips are logged
on his blog.
YTS headquarters are in Boston, MA, USA.
